Frequently Asked Questions...

How does a candy buffet work?

A candy buffet is a great addition to any event.  It can serve as take-home favors for your guests as well as a decor and conversation piece during the event.  We set up a colorful display of candy like the ones you see on our Website.  We then provide clear plastic cello bags with customized labels and twist ties so that your guests can select their own candies from the buffet with scoops and tongs to create a take-home treat bag.

Does the Kentucky Candy Buffet Co. make the candy?

We do not make the candy ourselves.  Our service is rather the artistic display of the candy on a buffet.  We are usually able to provide any kind of candy you would like for your buffet from one of our many suppliers.

Do you have a retail location?

We do not have a retail location.  We currently work out of our  homes.  We are always happy to meet with our clients to discuss details and are happy to do that at any location that is convenient for you.

How do you choose what candy you are going to have?

If you are a candy fanatic and you know exactly what candy you would like to have on your buffet, that is great, and we are always happy to provide the candy that is requested.  (Some candies are considered upgrades and may require an additional charge).  Or, if you aren’t a candy expert, but you know you would like your buffet to be a certain color or follow a theme, we are always happy to make suggestions of candies that will work well.

How much candy comes with a buffet?

Our pricing includes approximately 4 ounces of candy per guest.

Why is there a minimum of 100 guests for a buffet?

We have found that it takes at least enough candy as it would take for 100 guests in order to have enough candy to create a display large enough to be a “buffet.”  You do not have to actually have 100 guests at your event to have a candy buffet, you just get to keep the leftovers!

Does someone from the Kentucky Candy Buffet Co. stay during the event?

Our standard pricing includes set-up and pick-up of the candy buffet.  If you would like for someone to stay during the event to act as a candy buffet attendant, we are more than happy to do that at a fee of $100 for a four-hour event.

What if my event is for children and I’m concerned about the glassware?

Just let us know if your event is for a younger crowd and we will provide open-top and/or non-glass containers to make the buffet child friendly.

Can you provide Kosher or peanut-free candy?

Absolutely.  Please just let us know if you have special requests such as these and we are happy to do our best to accommodate.
